Your Title New Rug Rag
Last night I walked barefoot
across her new carpet
Ran my toes through the deep, plush,
pile
I pondered the softness of the texture
And the feeling made me smile I'd
like to lay this same kind o'er my tile
I dreamed of a discount
carpet warehouse
with a wide selection and a payment
plan
Full of different styles and colors
And a shiny delivery van
When people drop by my house
to visit
What am I supposed to say
I think I'll buy myself that new rug
And I think I'll buy it today
