Oatmeal
Bread
6 cups oats
8 cups boiling water
Combine oats and water and let "cook" until cool enough
to touch.
Add 2 cups flour and 4 T yeast dissolved
in 1 cup water.
Mix and let sit for 3 to 5 hours in a warm, humid
place.
Add: 2 eggs
1/4 cup salt
1/2 cup oil
1 cup molasses
Then keep adding flour and kneading until no longer
sticky. Usually somewhere between 5-8 pounds. Divide into 6 loaves. Shape
and place in oiled bread pans. Let rise 45 minutes in warm place. Bake
at 350 for 50 minutes.
