Mirror Mirror
If I
looked in the mirror
What
would I see?
Would
I see just a face,
Or
would I see me?
What
would the face look like,
And
how much would it mean?
Does
the way my face looks
In
any way change me?
Isn't
that what we have been taught
By
this society?
Aren't
we being judged
By
what others see?
But
how can you ever say
That
the face that you see
Is
more important than
The
person inside of me?

Rachelle
has been featured on my site previously. We love her love of
words
and innate creativity!! Go here
to find
more of her poetry. Last but not least, she writes to us that her
own goals for
the future, although not definite yet, are to continue writing and
perhaps get a novel finished and, she hopes, published. FYI, Rachelle
is but an 11th grader who is being home-schooled (yay!!) in the wilds
of Canada. Kudos to you, dear Rachelle!!! I am pleased to
know you! We look forward to your success at whatever career you
choose:-)
If you wish to let her hear from you, please write her HERE.
