Magic Never Ages

There are legends in the ashes
Waiting only for the wind
And they are borne to new horizons
Where the soothes are told again
For the truth is in the telling
Never written down in pages
Storytellers live and die
But magic never ages

There is a rhythm in the dance
No pen could ever write
The poet is the moon
A mere reflection of the light
A tale that turns on Grecian urns
Whispered hints on stages
Echoes fade to silence
But magic never ages

What incredible presumption
To think we understand
It is the song that moves the singer
The sculpture guides the hand
For the proof is in the process
Not the product of the sages
Bindings crack and leaves will turn
But magic never ages

Bill Muse is half of the folk-duo, 2Muses. He is as kind as he is gifted. Together he and his wife Mary make an unforgettable contribution to the music industry in Texas, both for their warm and exuberant stage presence, and for their inspiring humanity. Their tireless devotion to the musicians/artists in our community affords each of us a higher plateau to aspire to, and an opportunity to remember why many of us chose this path - - for the joy of doing it and sharing that joy with one another. It's too easy to forget that sometimes in so competetive an arena as the music business...
