The RedBird Café’s ~ Blues For
Breakfast Fruit Salad
Ingredients:
- 2 lbs.
fresh strawberries
- 1 sm.
bunch of grapes, any color (seedless)
- 2 new
bananas
- 1 sm. can
crushed pineapple with juice (you
may use fresh, if you have the
patience…)
- 2 large
red delicious (or your choice)
apples cubed
- 3 cans
mandarin oranges (ok… whatever)
- 1 lb./cup
fresh blueberries (or however you can acquire them -- if
frozen, thaw first!)
- 4 oz.
fresh Dewberries (don’t ask) or seedless blackberries
- 3 TBLSPN
raisins (please, just pick a color)
- 2 TBLSPN
sliced almonds (!)
Toss
everything except bananas and
blueberries on the day of serving; add bananas and blueberries
just seconds before presentation, for maximum effect and minimum
bleedage. Serves four to six.
